Kind Words

We cannot thank you enough for Oscar’s amazing ipad. He was a little sad this morning as he has been having a few problems with his picc line and the nurses were out to see him and while they were here his ipad and accessories were delivered.
His face lit up and he is so pleased. It will really help him with everything. He is now enjoying setting it all up. Thank you again so so much for everything it means the absolute world to Oscar and us.
Best wishes jo xxx

Dear Gaynor
You may recall I spoke to you a little while ago after the Alexandra Sales Trust gifted us Tesco vouchers.
I just wanted to follow up to that call to say a huge Thank You on behalf of my daughter, also called Alexandra, 14 yrs old and diagnosed with an aggresive sarcoma. The vouchers enabled us to get all those little extras and comforts for Alexandra which made such a difference to her while at home, by making her struggle a little more palatable.
Our struggle is not over but we will be eternally grateful for your kindness and what you do in memory of your daughter.
While our words will be of small consolation given your loss, please accept our grateful thanks to all you on behalf of Alexandra.
Your daughter would be very proud of you.
Arin

I just want to say once again thank you so much for the laptop, I'm very grateful.

Dear Gaynor,
Thank you so much for the incredible generosity your charity has shown in gifting Molly with the Barbie Dream House and dolls. She returned home finally after a rough few weeks in and of hospital to the packages and she was so happy, she couldn’t believe it was for her. Molly was diagnosed on the 1st August with leukaemia, 2 days after her 6th birthday and since then it’s been a very rough journey, she has been incredibly brave overcoming many fears and this gift from you is her ultimate dream and to her overcoming the anxieties of hospitals, medicines through her tube and many more has been made so much better by this.
From the bottom of our hearts too, thank you so much.
Kate & Ian Townsend-Blazier

I am Kenneth, a recent recipient of some vouchers from your charity and I would just like to say thank you very much. It has been a difficult time for myself and family and this kindness and assistance shown is inspiring and impressive.
It will definitely aid in easing the load on mine and my families shoulders so thank you so very much.
Thank you so much for Elise’s clothes vouchers!! I can’t believe how generous the Alexandra Sales Trust were. It’s hugely appreciated and couldn’t have come at a better time! Elise has put on so much weight - even the sleeves from hospital (to cover her PICC line) don’t fit her anymore! We’ve had to get bigger ones of those too!
She can’t wait to go shopping.
Thanks again
Dearest Alexandra Sales Trust
We wanted to say thank you so much for the beautiful climbing frame that you gifted to our daughter Beatrix for her 5th birthday. As you know she was diagnosed with a Stage 4 Wilms Tumour, a type of childhood kidney cancer, that had spread to her liver and lungs and faced multiple surgeries, intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy for most of 2020. Due to the coronavirus lockdown and cancer coinciding she’s been in isolation at home or hospital for most of the year and has been unable to visit the playground, friends or her nursery for the duration of her treatment. The utterly beautiful climbing frame put the biggest smile on her face and is also encouraging her to use her hand and foot muscles again, both of which were affected by the frequent chemotherapy, and all from the safety of her own home.
Thank you for this stunning gift. You are wonderful, wonderful people and I can’t help but think of Alexandra smiling down on Beatrix while she plays.
With all our love

Luke would like to say a HUGE thank you for his birthday present. He is over the moon and was so happy to receive his birthday parcel. It will definitely help him get through the next few months of treatment xxxxxx

We want to thank The Alexandra Sales Trust for the wonderful gift to my son during this treatment. He was absolutely shocked and delighted and yes, it brought a huge smile to his face! We thank you for this generous gift.
It was also very moving to learn about Alexandra, and how you created this positive movement in her name. What a beautiful legacy!
Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise of a laptop for Ramsey! We are over the moon!
We go in for his bone marrow transplant on Valentines Day and its such a gift that he has something other than his phone to stare at!! He will be able to put some of his school work on it ,movies and lots of practical use and joy will be had from it.
Please know we are truly humbled and so grateful . Your daughters name and you as a family are now in our prayers too.
Thank you for being there for us in our time of need.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you and to say I'm so over whelmed with tears that you can help make a special day happen for my two little boys I can’t thank you and your charity enough. xx
I just wanted to feedback that I have had a very grateful mum on the phone saying what a huge difference the Switch made to her son. She said his whole attitude and body language has changed since he’s had it. He feels able to get through the days on the ward and it feels much easier to help him get to the end when he can go home. She thought it might help but she can’t believe the difference it’s made. He had been getting so down and frustrated and anxious before but this helps to keep him distracted and has made him much calmer and more positive. It was such a lovely glowing phone call that I had to let you know.
I then called the young man and you could just tell from the tone of his voice that things had gotten better for him. He was really grateful to you and it led to a more open and energised conversation than I’ve had with him for a long time.
Thank you so much – you have made such a massive difference to this family.
We just wanted to thank you for our tickets to Abseil the Arcelor Mittal Orbit. We all really enjoyed the experience and it is indeed very high but great fun. This was our first trip to the Olympic Park, so we decided to cycle round the park and spend some time in the shopping centre finishing off the day with an Italian meal.
Thank you once again an experience we would have never done as a family without your kind donation.

I just wanted to say a big Thank You to The Alexandra Sales Trust for allowing Elesha and I to attend a vegetarian cookery course at Cookery School Little Portland Street. We went on Sunday. We both learnt new skills and had a great time. (Who knew there was so much work in cooking an onion!!!). I can’t explain how lovely it was for us to spend time together, doing something we both enjoyed, away from hospitals, doing something “normal” with other people. Cancer and other family health issues were pushed to the back of our minds for a few hours.
Elesha is already keen to try out some of the dishes we cooked. She did tag you into her Instagram post on the day. I hope you saw it. I’ve attached a few pictures below in case you didn’t.
Once again, Thank You so much for allowing us to do this. You certainly made us Smile. You are doing amazing things for children with cancer.
Karen Jepson

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for making it possible for me to go for this lunch+shopping trip, it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!
Everyone was so nice, the lunch was fun, the shopping was actually so fastpaced, I didn't even realize how quickly the time flew!
I am so grateful and happy for the new things! To be honest, I have never in my life received so much...
Thank you again! xx
Hello, I have just found a handwritten letter from Gaynor Sales from last September '17. Your charity had provided us with Sainsbury gift cards in the first six months after our daughter was diagnosed and we were able to use them to buy shopping and amazingly petrol. I have to tell you that handwritten letter and that kindness made me cry.
We are now a year on and my daughter is still on treatment and still struggling but she's back in school last week and she's still here. I think of Alexandra and all the other fighters often.
Anyway wanted to say a big thank you to the trust, the family and everyone who helps magic like this happen.

Thank you so much for arranging a trip for my family to Cadburys world. We had a fabulous time. Everything ran so smoothly, the hotel was lovely and Stratford upon Avon is a really nice town. The evening meal was very nice.
Cadburys world was really good it suited all age groups and we all had a great time. Afternoon tea was good, we were very spoilt. Every thing was organised so well we had no hiccups at all. Harry was very spoilt he bought a flake pillow and 2 enormous bars of chocolate in the gift shop.
This was a very welcomed break for us, it was a chance to breath for a short while. Harry goes into the Royal Marsden tomorrow to resume treatment to prepare for his second bone marrow transplant. Thank you for giving us a day or two of normal life, we sincerely appreciate it.
Dear Gaynor
I just wanted to let you know that our lovely girl will be going to University in September!!!!
She is absolutely thrilled that she is able to go to her first choice university to study Population and Geography. We can’t thank you enough for the support you have offered her.
Her results were outstanding without even taking into consideration all the setbacks she has had this year - she managed to achieve A*BB!!!!
We hope that your team at Alexandra Sales Trust will take some pleasure from her success... without your help she wouldn’t be in this fortunate position.
Thank you so much for your support with her tutoring.
Dear Gaynor and all at the Alexandra Sales Trust,
Thank you so much for the I-pad you sent Ethan. I had not told him you were sending it so he was extremely surprised to open the package and find the i-pad. He is absolutely delighted with it & amazed that you have sent him it. He had a huge smile on his face and could not quite believe it was his!
Thank you so much for putting a smile on his face and lifting his spirits. It is moments like these that lift us all and help us cope with Ethan’s diagnosis and prognosis.
Ethan was diagnosed with MEN2B and advanced Medullary Thyroid Cancer in March this year. In May he had a 12.5 hour operation to remove extensive Cancer in his neck at the Evelina Children’s Hospital in London. In June Ethan was informed by the Royal Marsden that his Cancer has spread to both his lungs and is incurable. Not an easy thing for a 12 year old to hear and come to terms with. We are making the most of whatever time we have with him.
Both my husband and myself are very sorry for your tragic loss and are grateful to you all for setting up this wonderful Trust and helping raise a smile for other children with Cancer like Ethan.
A massive thank you to you all. What a special family you are.
My son was diagnosed with a rare form of Hopkins Lymphoma a few months ago and were already battling a diagnoses of anorexia and body dis-morphia prior to this!
Tyler's social life and schooling have taken a downward turn. He's 6 months behind and about to start year 11. His appearance has changed dramatically due to steroids and chemo and he's fed up and down most days.
But there was one day we had a knock on our door from the postman who delivered a package.
Tyler was so excited he thought it's was something else, but when he opened up his new phone his reaction was epic! Heart melting and we cried!
THANK YOU.
Through your terrible sadness your amazing charity work makes a difference and we are proof of that! In dark times you shone a light! I will be for ever grateful!
Hi I recently was gifted with a present from the Alexandra sales trust xx
It was a present to help me while I was going through treatment. My mum chose my gift as a surprise as she knew what I wanted, I absolutely love the kindle voyage I was given.
I have used it every day sincerely I have got it and haven’t stopped reading thank you so much for this amazing gift I love it it’s sich a treat I couldn’t ask for something better.
Thank you xxx ❤️❤️❤️ From tamsin
It was lovely to go away with him as he has not been away since June 2017, and we appreciate your kindness.

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a fantastic time we all had on Saturday at the Studio Tour!
We were made to feel extremely welcome right from checking in and the staff throughout were extremely attentive. We had a fantastic tour with a very knowledgeable guide who even managed to tell Tom things he didn't know about Harry Potter!
Thank you so much for organising this for us, we had a much needed fun family day out together and have created some fantastic new memories.
Lots of love xxx
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to your fabulous charity who are supporting my teenage daughter. My 18 year old daughter is trying to complete her A level studies under really difficult circumstances. She has been really unwell post a stem cell transplant in 2016 and has been hospitalised frequently.
After a recent illness, it was recommended that she should not return to school for another 6-8 weeks.
The Alexandra Sales Trust were contacted by our CLIC Sargent support worker and you have agreed to fund her home tuition as we are ineligible for support from our LEA.
Thank you so much for your help.....I can't tell you what a difference this will make and I hope that later in the summer that I will be able to contact you to confirm that she was successful in her exams!
Just knowing that your charity understands the challenges she faces and your willingness to support her has had such a positive impact on us all when the world around us felt overwhelmingly difficult.
THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE ALEXANDRA SALES TRUST TEAM

ut thanks to The Alexandra Sales Trust was unbelievable. Me, my best friend, and my dad were treated to an unforgettable and special day trip to London. The Trust organised a mobility taxi to take the three of us to and from Central London which was the first part of the treat. We got to see some sights as we were driving in to the city and we couldn’t stop talking about what we were looking forward to. Even the driver was great company. We were dropped off at Bella Italia (Argyll Street) where we met with Gaynor who is an inspirational and incredibly warm and friendly woman that I am blessed to have met. Her work with the Trust is so important and her kindness really shines through. We were then treated by The Trust to the most scrumptious lunch which was only improved by the fun conversations around the table.

We would like to say a huge thank you to The Alexandra Sales Trust for the gift that was given to my son on Wednesday 11th October.
He is a five years old boy who was diagnosed with a relapsed spinal cord tumor. Because of the disease he is having mobility issues. On Wednesday he came for chemotherapy to The Royal Marsden Hospital and the gift came as a surprise for him. He was very exited and it was the train set he has been wanting to have for a while! It has really made his day!
A massive thank you to The Alexandra Sales Trust and all the lovely supporters and all the people behind these moments of joy! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I just wanted to let you know that we went to Paultons Park the other weekend and had a really wonderful day! Thank you so much! It’s really very generous of you and I wanted to share some pictures of the girls.
My daughter loves Peppa and was running around which was fantastic to see. Her sister braved some really fast rides...!
She also chose a Peppa pig house and a couple of teddies in the shop and her sister a talking dog (!), thank you so much for the vouchers also.
We used the day trip as a treat in between her weeks ‘sleepovers’ in hospital for high dose chemo, which we had over 8 weeks, so it was especially great to see her enjoying herself, and all of us together.
Thanks again

My son received his iPad today, I am so very grateful for the laughter I heard tonight as he watched YouTube videos - at 6 years old it is the random videos that get the biggest laughs.
He's had a rough 5 months and at the moment it is getting harder for him to find his happy so to hear him laughing so hysterically was a treat I needed just as much as him. Thank you.
I'm so sorry you lost Alexandra but I thank you for making this possible for my child. On behalf of William a massive thank you.
We have been overwhelmed by all of the support!
if I'm honest I wasnt expecting it and was quite emotional when so many lovely people and foundations was there for her, it helped keep her spirits high! I tried my best but when someone who isn't a family member or friend help it's so nice and really lifts spirits!
Can I just say a massive thank you to The Alexandra Sales Trust. My son is 12 and you have confirmed he will be receiving an i-Pad which he is so excited about.
He has had a tough 8 weeks being diagnosed with a very aggressive type of brain cancer. He’s been through so much having a massive operation to remove this tumour and will be having Radiotherapy at the Marsden.
We don’t know what the outcome will be but The Alexandra Sales Trust has helped keep his head and spirits up.
Your daughter would be so proud of you with the work that you’re doing, thank you again.
