About The Trust

The Alexandra Sales Trust was set up to create a legacy in memory of Alexandra who diagnosed in 2013 with Metastatic Rhabdomysarcoma, a rare, rapidly spreading soft tissue cancer. Alexandra passed away in September 2014 aged just 17.

The trust aims to support children and young people living with cancer by raising funds to help other children in similar circumstances to what Alexandra endured.

During her illness, Alexandra benefitted from gifts from other small charities. She was given a MAC laptop, as well as being treated to a luxury shopping trip, which really helped to make a difference and took her mind away from the trauma of her illness.

The aim of The Alexandra Sales Trust is to raise ‘Smile Money’ for young people being treated for cancer. Whether it be a family weekend away, a dream day out, toys, a piece of technology, or educational aids and courses to help provide a focus, the trust and it’s supporters want to help raise as many funds as possible to help make these things possible for children and young people going through treatments.

We distribute funds raised to patients of The Royal Marsden Hospital, as well as University College London Hospital and Pembury Hospital, via their own internal social care teams and charities through referrals.

All the Trustees of The Alexandra Sales Trust are volunteers, paying any expenses incurred and with no charge being made for administration costs.
